Education
I am currently a junior in high school at TMCC. My goal is to graduate high school with an associate's degree and then I plan to go to college in Oregon to study pre-med. My dream is to someday become a pediatric Oncologist or something in that area. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to study abroad or travel because I am very passionate about different cultures and languages. I have been studying French for over 4 years and am currently learning Italian and ASL online.
Experience
As a student, I have always been in the gifted and advanced classes including GATE and SWAS. When I was in elementary school I would volunteer to tutor and teach the younger kids at Boys and Girls Club after school. I would help them with their homework and find ways to help them understand subjects they were struggling with. I am excited to begin tutoring students at a more professional level because I believe education is important and I believe that tutoring is a great way to get the extra help that a lot of students need. As a child, I often had to find outside resources to teach me in a way I would remember. Each student has a specific way that they process new information and I believe many schools don't recognize this. I am good at finding new approaches. Having a tutor is a fantastic way for a student to learn which study skills work for them so that they can develop good habits and be set on the path for success.

Hobbies
I am very passionate about art. It brings me a sense of joy and serenity. I also love music dancing. I was dancing before I could walk. I enjoy doing outdoor sports and activities, such as skiing, swimming, and lacrosse. I have been playing lacrosse for over six years and before that, I've played almost every sport. I hope to become more involved in theater next year.
