I live in Reno, Nevada. I received my post-secondary education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and Vanderbilt University. I have experience teaching students ranging from fourth grade to college in both America and in Japan.I tutor in a large number of subjects, including math from elementary math up through algebra at all levels, to calculus and statistics. I also teach a number of science subjects such as anatomy, physics, biology, and more. I teach English topics including reading, essay writing and editing, and grammar. I also teach Japanese. Furthermore, I can tutor in mechanical and biomedical engineering. There are a number of other subjects I can tutor in, and standardized test I can help students prep for.I believe that there is more to teaching than just sharing knowledge. One has to communicate with that knowledge as well. This communication helps students understand a certain topic and it helps a tutor know how a student gains information. We all learn differently, and my goal as a tutor is to find out how my students learn so they do well in school and in life.In my spare time, I like cooking, exercise, reading satire and fantasy, painting, and snowboarding.
