Experience
No previous tutoring experience, however I have had experience instructing through class projects, student interactions, and group studies where I have been able to instruct fellow classmates in regards to Spanish and English. I have studied abroad for a semester in Heredia, Costa Rica where I became highly communicable in the Spanish language and am currently finishing my degree in Spanish at UNR. I have taken upper-division Spanish and English classes since my junior year in high school and graduated with honors. I am seeking to be a part-time tutor because I understand and remember what it was like to be in high school trying to prepare for AP tests, achieve higher-than-average GPAs, and score well on college entrance exams... and it was so stressful! Having extra help and practice outside of the classroom benefited me and my studying so much and with my degree specializing in Spanish and the growing need for bilingualism, I want to help high school students preparing for tests to pursue higher education.
